Description:
Chymotrypsin is a proteolytic enzyme extracted from the pancreas of pigs. It is white or white crystalline powder. Odorless, soluble in water, insoluble in organic solvents. Isoelectric point PI=8.1 ~ 8.6. It quickly deactivates in an aqueous solution. The Ph value of 10% aqueous solution is about 3, and the solution with Ph3 ~ 4 is the most stable. Under the condition of 40C, there was no decrease of activity in 18 months.
Chymotrypsin for injection is a sterile freeze-dried product of chymotrypsin and a white freeze-dried lump. The solution is unstable and should be prepared fresh.
Method of producing chymotrypsin: the pancreas of cattle was removed within 1h after slaughter and leached at 0℃ with sulfuric acid. The leach was graded out with ammonium sulfate, the salt out was dissolved in cold distilled water (adjust the pH with sulfuric acid), and then adjusted the pH with ammonium sulfate and sodium hydroxide to completely crystallize, repeatedly dissolve, recrystallize, and crystallize chymotrypsin element.
