Description:Sodium (S)-lactate is a natural l-lactate produced by fermentation of sucrose with a neutralization reaction. This Sodium (S)-lactate has a neutral pH (6.5-7.0) and is mildly salty. The product contains 60% liquid and powder. It is a kind of food additive with antiseptic effect. Sodium l-lactate occurs naturally in foods. Natural Sodium (S)-lactate is recognized as safe and non-toxic food additives.
Sodium (S)-lactate is stable at normal temperature and pressure, but avoid contact with oxide moisture.
Sodium lactate solution (867-56-1) is prepared by adding Sodium hydroxide to lactate during cooling. After concentration, it is allowed to leave for up to a week, and then Sodium (S)-lactate is produced through alkali neutralization and dilution.
