Molecular Formula:C12H10NNaO3S
Formula Weight:271.27
Description:Sodium diphenylamine-4-sulfonate is stable at room temperature and pressure. It is a colorless or white small crystalline powder, soluble in water and soluble in hot alcohol. Soluble in water, soluble in hot alcohol.
Diphenylamine-4-sulfonate synthesis method: 1. Diphenylamine and concentrated sulfuric acid at 180℃ reaction to produce diphenylamine sulfonic acid, and then use Sodium hydroxide and barium chloride action to obtain Sodium salt.
2. Mix diphenylamine and concentrated sulfuric acid and heat to 180 ° c (or reduce pressure and heat to 160 ° c), stirring constantly until the reactant thickens. After cooling, water was added and hydrolyzed at 125℃ to convert the by-product into diphenylamine sulfonic acid. After complete hydrolysis, water was added to dilute it, and then sodium hydroxide solution was used to neutralize it to the ph value of 5 ~ 6. After standing for filtration, filtrate was evaporated and concentrated to dry to obtain crude sodium diphenylamine sulfonate.
The obtained crude Sodium diphenylamine-4-sulfonate was extracted by heating with 70% ethanol, filtered, vacuum distillation and recovered solvent, then recrystallized with 70% ethanol, and dried at 70 ~ 80℃ to obtain Sodium diphenylamine-4-sulfonate.
