Product description:Mitomycin is an anti-tumor drug isolated from culture solution of actinomycete. It is effective against many solid tumors and is one of the commonly used non-specific drugs. Structurally, it has three effective groups: benzoquinone, uratan and ethylenimine. After activation by reductase in cells, it works to depolymerize DNA and antagonize DNA replication. High concentration also inhibits the synthesis of RNA and protein. Mitomycin mainly ACTS on late G1 phase and early S phase. It also works in acidic and hypoxic conditions. Drug resistance is mainly caused by the decrease of cell membrane permeability, resulting in the decrease of intracellular concentration. Accelerated degradation and so-called mutation-selection mechanisms.
Mitomycin combined with adriamycin can increase cardiac toxicity. The total amount of adriamycin is recommended to be limited to below 450mg/m2 per body surface area. When combined with vitamin C, B6 and other intravenous application, the curative effect of this product can be significantly reduced. Live virus vaccine should not be administered and oral polio vaccine should be avoided during administration.
