Description:Food green 3 is a reddish to brownish purple particle or powder with metallic luster. Odorless, soluble in water, ethanol, neutral aqueous solution is blue-green, acid is green, alkaline is blue to blue-purple. Soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid is brown orange, diluted with water to green. Heat resistance, light resistance, reduction resistance, tartaric acid, citric acid stability. Alkali resistance is weak, moisture absorption is strong.
Food green 3 is used as a pigment in Food, medicine and cosmetics. Use in combination with other food colouring in foods such as pastries and cold drinks, using 10-200,000 parts.
