Product name:Ferrous gluconate dihydrate
CAS:22830-45-1
Molecular Formula:C12H26FeO16
Formula Weight:482.17
Specification:100g
Description:It is of yellowish grey or yellowish green particles or powders with a slight caramel odour. It is easy to dissolve in water (10g/100mL), but difficult to dissolve in ethanol. An aqueous solution is weakly acidic.
1.2mol/L of calcium gluconate was stirred and added to the same amount of sulfuric acid solution for reaction at 90℃ for 1h. After filtering out the precipitated calcium sulfate and passing through the column at the same volume of resin per minute, about 35% gluconic acid solution was obtained with the yield of 97%.
Add ferrous sulfate powder to calcium carbonate solution, stir to dissolve and react to form ferrous carbonate precipitation:
After the reaction, ferrous carbonate was filtered and washed (do not pump out, and water layer was retained on the surface to isolate air), with a yield of 98%.
Then add ferrous carbonate to gluconic acid solution and stir for 30min. CO2 generated by the reaction plays a protective role as an inert gas. The product ferrous gluconate solution was put into the crystallizing tank, and the crystal seed was added, and the crystallization was completed for about 3-5h. Finally, the product was filtered and washed by ethanol and dried by vacuum at 50℃ with a yield of 98%.
