Description:
Dehydroacetic acid is widely found in many deep-sea fish oils, as well as in Marine algae and certain land plants. DHA is an omega-3 type of unsaturated fatty acid, which is essential for nutrition. Light, oxygen, heat is very unstable, easy to oxidation, cracking, usually should be added antioxidant. In addition, lecithin, dextrin, cyclodextrin or inert gas can be added to improve the stability of the preparation.
Dehydroacetic acid can be obtained by condensation of ethyl acetoacetate etc., but the most commercially viable production method is diethylene glycol dipolymerization. The solvent benzene (or toluene) and catalyst triethylenediamine were added into the reactor successively and heated to benzene reflux (about 75 ~ 80℃). Then, under constant agitation, diethylenone was added slowly and the temperature was strictly controlled at about 80℃. After the addition of diethylenone, the reaction continued for 30min. After natural cooling, the reaction liquid precipitated into solid, and the crude product was obtained through filtration. The crude product was dissolved with dilute sodium carbonate solution (Ph 8 ~9) heated (80℃) and decolorized with activated carbon. The filtered pure solution was neutralized with 1:1 hydrochloric acid under agitation to Ph 3 ~ 4. The precipitated product was collected and dried at 70~90℃ and Dehydroacetic acid was obtained.
