Description:
Chlormequat chloride is a white crystal. Fishy taste insoluble in anhydrous ethanol, ether, benzene, xylene. Slightly soluble in dichloroethane, isopropanol. It's usually in an aqueous solution.
Chlormequat chloride is mildly toxic to humans and animals. The lethal dose of 50% Chlormequat is 670 mg/kg. Adult oral administration of pyro (50%) was about 10 ~ 50 mL, and the time from taking the medicine to death was only 30 ~ 50 min, indicating that pyro was highly toxic to humans and animals. In animal experiments with rabbits and guinea pigs, animals can die quickly when given more than 200 mg/kg weight. Chlormequat chloride is extremely toxic.
Chlormequat chloride is quickly decomposed by soil microorganisms when it enters the soil. When the rats were fed Chlormequat chloride 500 and 1000mg/kg, 96% of the active agent was excreted in urine and feces.
