Chitosan is a linear polysaccharide composed of randomly distributed β-(1-4)-linked D-glucosamine (deacetylated unit) and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine (acetylated unit). It has a number of commercial and possible biomedical uses.
Chitosan in crustaceans such as shrimp and crabs, insects, shell, the lower plants, fungi, algae cells found in nature, higher plant cell walls, etc., from crab and shrimp shells in the application of genetic engineering to extract animal fiber, polymer by scientific reputation as "the sixth life element"!
