Description:Cefotaxime sodium is white, white, or yellowish white crystals, odorless or slightly peculiar. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in chloroform. Dilute solution colorless or slightly yellow, higher concentration of gray yellow, when the deterioration of deep yellow or brown.
Cefotaxime sodium is a kind of common carbon penicillium alkene antibiotic, belongs to the third generation of semisynthetic cephalosporins, antibacterial spectrum of cefepime than cefuroxime oxime, stronger effect on gram-negative bacteria, antibacterial spectrum, including sexual flu bloodthirsty bacillus, escherichia coli, e. coli, salmonella species, white clay gas bacillus genera and singular proteus, neisseria bacteria, staphylococcus aureus, pneumococcus, streptococcus pneumoniae, klebsiella bacteria genera and salmonella genus enterobacteriaceae bacteria, etc. Cefotaxime sodium has no antibacterial activity against pseudomonas aeruginosa and alkali-producing bacteria, but poor antibacterial activity against staphylococcus aureus, strong activity against gram-positive cocci such as hemolytic streptococcus and streptococcus pneumoniae, and resistance to enterococcus enterococcus (enterobacter cloacae and enterobacter pneumoniae). At present, it is mainly used for pneumonia caused by various sensitive bacteria and other lower respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, meningitis, sepsis, abdominal infection, pelvic infection, skin and soft tissue infection, reproductive tract infection, bone and joint infection.
