Description:1, 5-naphthalenedisulfonic acid is a white, Naphthalenedisulfonic acid. Melting point 240-245℃ (anhydrous). Soluble in water and ethanol, insoluble in ether.
1, 5-naphthalenedisulfonic acid is obtained by sulfonation of naphthalene. Add about 500kg of 20% fuming sulfuric acid into sulfonation pot, slowly pour 210kg fine naphthalene powder into the pot within 1.5h under stirring, control temperature 25-30℃, and stir for half an hour. Temperature rise to 40℃, holding for 1h, reaction until the material can be fully dissolved. When the temperature drops below 20℃, slowly and quickly add 1700-1720kg20% to produce sulfuric acid within 10h, and the temperature is still controlled at 25-30℃. Add, stir for 4h. The reactants were placed in 20% sodium chloride, cooled, and filtered. Dissolve the cake in hot water, adjust it to a neutral solution with sodium hydroxide, filter it, and dry it to obtain 1, 5-naphthalenedisulfonic acid.
Naphthalenedisulfonic acid is used as an intermediate of dyestuff. Used for the manufacture of 1, 5-dihydroxy naphthalene, amino C acid and other intermediates.
