Chymotrypsin is used for biochemical research, structural analysis, decomposition and digestion of proteins, clinically used for wound healing after wound or surgery, anti-inflammatory and prevention of local edema, hemorrhage, sprained hematoma, otitis media, rhinitis, etc.
Chymotrypsin is a proteolytic enzyme. It can promote the elimination of liquefaction of blood clots, purulent secretions and ring-dead tissues, and is used in ophthalmic surgery to loosen the ciliary ligament and reduce traumatic iridocyclitis. It can also be used for wounds or local inflammation to reduce local secretion and edema.
Chymotrypsin is a serine protease that hydrolyzes the peptide bond at the carboxy terminus of the peptide bond with an aromatic or long hydrophobic chain (Tyr, Trp, Phe, Met). Remarks: For proteolysis in the absence of exogenous trypsin activity.
